Capsicum Oleoresins Botanical name of the oleoresin is Capsicum annum. This is a concentrated extract from the fruit of chilli plant. It is made by mixing an organic solvent with the chilli mash extract the liquid and then gently heat to evaporate away the solvent leaving behind an oily mixture that contains capsaicinoids and colorants.
