In ancient India this celery seed essential oil is used to treat cold, flu and poor digestion. Botanical name of the oil is Apium graveolens and it is grown basically in India. If used by lactating women the oil increases milk flow in them. The oil is extracted from the seed part of celery plant by steam distillation method. The oil derived is yellowish brown liquid.
