Croton Essential Oil Botanical name of the oil is Croton Tiglium Linn. Other names of the plant from which this essential oil is extracted are Euphorbiaceae, Rushfoil, Croton and Codiaeum variegatum. The oil should not be used excessively as it causes skin irritation. Could also lead to permanent damage and scarring on the body skin. The oil is poisonous in nature and should not be used in pregnancy and breast feeding.
