Frankincense Essential Oil Botanical name of the oil is Boswellia serrata. The oil has other name also olibanum. The oil is obtained from the tree bark of boswellia tree which in other countries is also known by the name Boswellia sacra and Boswellia carteri. This tree grows in Somalia’s rocky coast. The oil is used to purify mind and soul.
