Laurel Leaf Essential Oil Botanical name of the oil is Laurus nobilis. The oil is also known as Bay Laurel oil. Some people in the world also call it by Sweet Bay, True Laurel. The oil is extracted from laurel leaves and fruits by steam distillation. Laurel Tree gives pale yellow-green flowers which are born in pair with the leaves. The oil is generally used for treating pains in teeth and gums and giving relief in headaches.
