Lemon Balm Essential Oil Botanical name of the oil is Melissa officinalis. Other name of the oil is Melissa essential oil. The plant is found in Southern Europe. The plant grows 70cm to 150cm tall having green leaves giving lemon scent. Essential oil is extracted from flowering tops, leaves and stems of the lemon balm plant. Traditionally the oil is used as a good anti-bacterial, anti-spasmodic, anti-viral, digestive and antibiotic.
